The Commonwealth Shared Scholarship Scheme is a joint initiative between the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission (with funding from Department for International Development), and UK universities, to support scholarships for students from developing Commonwealth countries who would not otherwise be able to study in the United Kingdom. Liverpool Hope University has one award available and applications are open for MSc Environmental Management.
Eligibility
To be eligible to this scholarship student must fill the following criteria;
- be nationals of (or permanently domiciled in) a developing Commonwealth country, and not currently be living or studying in a developed country (please see the Shared Scholarships prospectus for a list of eligible countries)
- hold a first degree at either first or upper second class level
- be sufficiently fluent in English to pursue the course
- have not previously studied for one year or more in a developed country
- be able to confirm in writing that neither they or their families would otherwise be able to pay for the proposed course of study
- be willing to confirm that they will return to their home country as soon as their period of study is complete
Application Procedure
There are two steps to apply this sholarship
- Apply the program of study. Candidates must first apply for their chosen programme of study on a Liverpool Hope Universtiy postgraduate application form, available at www.hope.ac.uk/prospective/postgraduate-study/how-to-apply
This is to ensure that you are eligible for entry onto the chosen course.
If eligible you will be sent a Conditional Offer of Admission by email.
You must met all the academic conditions of offer, including submission of certificates, transcripts, English Language requirement, passport copy, references. - Apply the scholarship. Once you have received an offer letter to the chosen programme of study you should then do the next step and apply for the Commonwealth Shared Scholarship. Candidates should apply online using the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission's Electronic Application System (EAS) at http://cscuk.dfid.gov.uk/apply/eas/
Please note: any applications through the EAS system that does not hold an offer of admission will be automatically rejected.
