This fellowship provides third- and fourth -year medical and veterinary students with valuable public health experience in an international setting. The main focus of the fellowship is a 6- to 12-week field assignment. Fellows are mentored by experienced CDC staff and learn through hands-on experience while working on a public health project in a developing country.
The CDC-Hubert Global Health Fellowship is endowed by the O.C. Hubert Charitable Trust.
Eligibility
The applicant must be:
- A medical or veterinary student in your 2nd or 3rd year when you apply
- Enrolled in a school accredited by the - Liaison Committee on Medical Education - American Osteopathic Association - American Veterinary Medical Association
- Covered by medical insurance during the fellowship
- A U.S. citizen or permanent resident
- Able to attend the fellowship orientation, January 10–13, 2013 (unless you are out of the country on your field assignment)
