The Caspian Arts Foundation Scholarship is awarded to students from the Middle East who display an exceptional talent, and whose development as an artist would most benefit from postgraduate study at one of the University of the Arts London’s Colleges. The Caspian Arts Foundation is a non-profit organisation promoting unity between the Middle Eastern cultures through the arts. The Caspian Arts Foundation Scholarships aim to assist the most promising students to overcome financial disadvantage and to give them a platform to develop to their full potential. The unique contributions that these students will make to the worlds of Art, Film & Photography will form a lasting legacy.
Terms of the Caspian Arts Foundation Scholarship
One Scholarship for an International student worth £25,000. Course fees will be paid directly from the award to the University’s Tuition Fees account. The remaining funds will be paid to the student as maintenance for the duration of the course. Applicants must enrol for their MA in the same academic year for which they have
applied for funding. If any applicant is unable to do this for any reason, the Scholarship will be withdrawn.
Eligibility
To be eligible for The Caspian Arts Foundation Scholarship applicants must be:
- Accepted on one of the following full-time Masters Degree course at University of the Arts London for the 2012/2013 academic year.Camberwell - MA Digital Arts, MA Fine Art, MA Illustration or MA Printmaking.Chelsea - PG Dip Fine Art, MA Fine Art or MA Interior/Spatial Design.Wimbledon - MA Fine Art or MA Drawing. Central Saint Martins College - MA Character Animation, MA Fine Art or MA Photography. London College of Fashion - MA Fashion Photography. London College of Communication - MA Animation, MA Documentary Film, MA Graphic Moving Image, MA Photography, MA Photojournalism and Documentary Photography.
- Currently applying for a place on a full-time Masters Degree course listed above at University of the Arts London for the 2012/2013 academic year.
- An undergraduate student expecting to graduate with a first or 2:1 in a bachelors degree (with Honours) from a Higher Education institution, or an HE accredited Further Education institution by 29th July 2012.
- A graduate, having already gained a first or 2:1 in a bachelor’s degree from a Higher Education institution, or an HE accredited Further Education institution.(for applicants without a bachelor’s degree) Able to demonstrate substantial equivalent and applicable experience.
- Applicants must be from the one of the following Middle Eastern countries: Egypt, Turkey, Iran, Sudan, Algeria, Tunisia, Morocco, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Syria, Israel, Jordan, United Arab Emirates, Lebanon, Palestinian Territories, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar or Bahrain.

It is anticipated that the number of applications we receive for The Caspian Arts Foundation Scholarship will far exceed availability, and many applicants will be unsuccessful. It is therefore extremely important that your application form is fully and accurately completed. In addition to the application form you will need to send the following supplementary material:
- CD containing 10 PDF images of recent work. Please ensure the CD is clearly labelled with your name and contact details.
- Curriculum Vitae (CV).
- Photocopy of passport.
