- Expertise, Media and Acquisition of Knowledge (Education, Philosophy, Rhetoric, Film and Media Studies)
- "The Ancient World and its later reception" and "Colonialism, Imperialism and Transnational Connections" (History, Archaeology, Ethnology, Greek and Latin)
- Cultural memory and the construction of identities in the modern world (Middle Eastern Studies, Asian Studies, Arctic Studies, Eskimology, History of Religion,Native American Languages and Cultures, Eastern European Studies, Minority Studies,Comparative Cultural Studies)
- Transnational and Migration Studies (English, German and Romance Languages and Literature)
- Globalisation in practice (Art History, Theatre and Dance Studies, Comparative Literature, Musicology)
- Primary Sources for the Study of the Scandinavian Languages (Old Norse-Icelandic, Dialectology, Name Research, Runology)
- Language Technology (Language Technology)
