The scholarship is funded by the Nordic Innovation Center (NiCe) and will be part of the strategic Nordic Marine Innovation programme project ”Pelagic Industry Processing Effluents: Innovative and Sustainable solutions-PIPE” which is a collaborative project between, Chalmers University of Technology, (Sweden), and several Scandinavian SMEs. The vision with the PIPE project is to test cutting edge technologies, and characterize as well as valorise the organic material collected from fish industries effluents and thereby increase sustainability. The project has a Nordic dimension as it includes several fish producers and technology providers from Scandinavian countries.
Eligibility
- M.Sc. in Food Technology/Food Chemistry preferred but Msc in Chemical Engineering, Analytical Chemistry or equivalent are also relevant.
- Experience with or knowledge of one or more of the following areas will be an advantage: Protein, lipids and bioactive ingredients characterization and purification, separation technologies, water purification technologies, and statistical analysis.
- Good laboratory skills
- Good collaboration and communication skills
- Structured and analytical working approach
