The Undergraduate Scholarships aim at recognising and encouraging female students with exceptional academic attainments and active involvement in community service.

Award
Each HKAUW Undergraduate Scholarship recipient will receive a Certificate of Award and HK$5,000.

(I) Eligibility criteria

An applicant
- Must be currently registered as a full-time female student (except first and final year students) at a local degree-granting tertiary institution (designation determined by the HKAUW)
- Is nominated by the head of department or faculty/school in which she is currently registered
- Has outstanding academic achievements
- Demonstrates current participation and involvement in community service
(II) Application procedure
- The applicant must be nominated by the head of department or faculty/school in which she is currently registered
- The completed HKAUW Undergraduate Scholarship application form including only relevant information, together with required documents must be received by the HKAUW by 5:00 p.m. on 4th October 2011 via the Student Affairs Office of her institution.
HKAUW WILL NOT CONSIDER ANY LATE APPLICATION
- This application must be accompanied by all supporting documents. Applications will not be considered without supporting documents
- The completed application forms with supporting documents must be returned to:

(III) Announcement of Results
- Applicants for Undergraduate Scholarships are shorted-listed and final recipients selected without a personal interview
- The Scholarship Convenor will notify the nominating institutions and the final scholarship recipients directly when the recipients are selected.
- Applicants who are not notified by mid-December 2011 should consider their applications unsuccessful. HKAUW does NOT provide critiques for unsuccessful applications
(IV) Presentation of Awards
- Certificates and cheques will be presented to the scholarship recipients at an Awards Presentation Ceremony scheduled on 17th December 2011
- Scholarship recipients are required to attend the Presentation Ceremony at the HKAUW Christmas Dinner on 17th December 2011. Absence will mean forfeiture of the award
