Undergraduate Scholarship in Anthropology and/or Health, Society & Health Department at University of Utah, USA

Description
To be considered for this scholarship, you must be admitted as a matriculated (degree-seeking) student. An Application for Undergraduate. Admission is included in the University’s Application Materials packet, available from the University of Utah, Admissions Office, 201 S. 1460 E., Rm 250S, Salt Lake City, UT 84112-9057, (801) 581-7281. December 15 is the preferred filing date for admission to the University of Utah.

Eligibility

This scholarship is Available to Utah residents who are: continuing students, freshman and transfer students, who have declared a major in Anthropology OR Health, Society & Policy with an overall U of U GPA of 3.5, transfer students without U of U credit, or High School if incoming Freshmen.

Application Procedure

Completed application and the Supporting documents: Send to: 270 S. 1400 E., Rm 102 SLC, UT 84112 Attn: Sandra Manwaring McCarthy
  • Submit an official academic transcript from all colleges attended if you are a college student (waived if less than 15 transfer hours), or from your high school if you are an entering freshmen.
  • Submit a 500 word personal statement concerning your educational and career plans (your exciting story of where you’ve been, where you want to go and why) and how receiving this scholarship would help you.
  • Submit 2 letters of recommendation on LETTERHEAD, SIGNED and DELIVERED in a SEALED ENVELOPE with the AUTHOR’S SIGNATURE OVER the SEAL. (one must be academic) Do not use forms.

Harmon Scholarship in Anthropology at AUburn University, USA

Description   
The Anthropology program is awarding a $1000 scholarship for undergraduate study in archaeology in honor of John Harmon, a former student at AUAuburn University. The scholarship will recognize an outstanding student studying anthropology at AU Auburn with a specific interest in archaeology

Eligibiity

The following are the basic requirements of this scholarship;
  • Students must have at least a 3.5 GPA and
  • experience in archaeology
