The aim of the PhD project is to develop and investigate electrode materials for a hybrid solid oxide fuel cell. Topics include:
- synthesis and structural characterization of novel electrode materials, using e.g. X-ray diffraction and thermal analysis
- electrochemical characterization using cyclic voltammetry and impedance spectroscopy
- test and characterization of cells using scanning electron microscopy and mass spectrometry
Eligibility
- Master’s degree in engineering, materials science, physics, chemistry or a similar degree with an academic level equivalent to the master's degree
- strong background in electrochemistry or solid state chemistry
- ability to work independently, to plan and carry out complicated tasks, and to be a part of a large, dynamical group
- good communication skills in English, both written and spoken
